Custom fields (product & task)

In KURAPRO, you can freely add company-specific fields (custom fields) to products and tasks. Record information tailored to your industry and workflow, such as color, size, notes and assignee.

Two kinds of custom fields

Difference between stock fields and custom fields

Separate from custom fields, there are stock fields (location, lot, expiry). Those aren't freely added; you enable and use them from a fixed set of three. → Stock fields

Field types

The types of fields you can add are as follows.

  • Text types (text, multi-line text) are searchable.
  • Number and date are for recording and are not used as search conditions.

Adding/editing fields (admin)

  1. Open "More."
  2. Choose "Product fields" or "Task fields."
  3. Create a new field with "Add field," or tap an existing field to edit it.
  4. Set the field name and field type.
  5. Toggle the following display settings as needed.
    • Show / hide in list: whether to show this field on the list screen.
    • Show / hide in sort: whether to allow this field to be used as a sort key.
  6. Save.

Effects of changing/deleting

  • If you delete a field, the values recorded for that field on existing products/tasks are also deleted and cannot be restored.
  • If you change a field name or settings, it is also reflected in the target field of existing products/tasks.

Default fields

  • For a newly created company, a "Memo" field is provided by default for both products and tasks.
  • For companies migrated from an older version, tasks also have a "Number" field, and the legacy transaction number and memo are carried over into these fields.
  • These fields can be renamed or deleted in the "Product fields" / "Task fields" settings.

About the "Memo" and "Number" fields

The traditional "Memo" and "Number" are provided as custom fields. If they don't appear, check whether the field was deleted or renamed in the settings screen.

Search and custom fields

  • In product search, in addition to product name, SKU and barcode, text-type product custom fields are also included.
  • In task search, in addition to product name, SKU and barcode, text-type task custom fields are also included.
