Managing clients
Register your suppliers and customers as clients and you can pick them when recording inbound and outbound. It leaves a record of where stock came from and went, and fills in the recipient on purchase orders and delivery notes.
Opening the list
- PC / tablet — “Clients” in the left menu
- Phone — “Other” → “Clients”
The search box matches on client name, address, phone number and memo.
Registering one
- Press “Add.”
- Fill in the fields:
| Field | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Client name | Required. |
| Postal code / address / building | Printed as the recipient on purchase orders and delivery notes. |
| Phone number | Contact details. |
| Memo | Contact person, terms — anything you like. |
- Save.
Names can’t be duplicated
Client names must be unique within the company. To separate divisions of the same company, use names like “Acme Corp (HQ)” and “Acme Corp (Osaka).”
Filling in the address now means you won’t retype it later when creating documents. For anyone you deal with regularly, it’s worth doing up front.
Editing and deleting
- Edit — from “Edit” on the detail screen.
- Delete — from “Delete” on the detail screen. Past transactions with that client remain.
Using them on transactions
- Pick a client in the “Client” field when recording inbound or outbound.
- It’s optional. You can leave it blank.
- Move and stocktaking have no client field — there’s no counterparty involved.
Importing from Excel and CSV
Clients can be registered and updated in bulk from an Excel workbook or a CSV file.
- Clients are matched on client name. An existing name is updated; a new one is created.
- Only the columns you map are updated. Anything you leave out of the file keeps its current value.
- Leaving a cell empty clears that field.
See CSV, Excel, label printing and images for details.
When something goes wrong
- A client with the same name already exists … That name is taken. Use a different one.
- Client not found … It was deleted, or doesn’t exist. Check the list.
- A client is required in the CSV … The client name column isn’t mapped.
